Offset is one of Dublin's most creative festival which happens every year. It consists of Talks, workshops, masterclasses, exhibits, encouraging creative play and exciting opportunities to meet the most interesting and exciting practitioners from the fields of Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Illustration, Fashion, Film, Industrial Design and Art.
With over 2,500 attendees each year, Offset has fast become one of the world’s most inspirational, educational and vocational conferences for the design and creative industries. Since 2009, from our Dublin base, we have attracted such creative icons as Massimo Vignelli, Sir Peter Blake, Paula Scher, David Carson, Milton Glaser, Kyle Cooper, Stefan Sagmeister, Micheal Bierut, Shepard Fairey, Tomi Ungerer, JR, Lance Wyman, George Lois and Louise Fili to grace our wonderful stages.
Representing industry at all levels, our speakers are key disruptors and influencers in their field driving everything from huge global campaigns to awe inspiring personal projects.

Beautifully designed brochures which consisted of the programme schedule on one side and a poster on the other, with a crisp minimalistic colour scheme.

Deloitte Digital Ireland #DELOITTEDIGITAL kept tea time breaks fun, with their draw-on coffee/tea mug competition. the above is done by me and my classmates.

Also introducing fun screen printed posters by the artist that were giving the talk, on the day of the talk that I had attended. This one, was by Rod Hunt (Illustrator, UK)

One of the most memorable quote, quoted by Neil Gaiman at Marion Deuchar's (Illustration, UK) talk at the Offset. Marion Deushars is known for her hand lettering. she talks about her inspiration, Anday Warhol who was greatly influenced by his mother's hand writing. As she working in diverse fields including editorial, packaging, retail, web design and architecture. Her distinctive illustrative hand-lettering style has been used in campaigns foe Samsung, HP,Formula 1 and Stamps for the Royal Mail. She is the author of the best selling Lwt's Make Some Great Art series and won six international awards for design and illustration.

Alan Aboud, one of the best-known creative directors in the fashion, beauty and retail industry. ABOUD+ABOUD has been recognised internationally for working on global fashion and lifestyle brands like, ZARA, Levi's, H&M, LVMH, River Island and Gap kids amongst others. Here is Alan, talking to us about the creative process. He has written the book, You Can Find Inspiration in Everything and he is proud of his "Suit To Travel In " 360 campaign for Paul Smith.

"Good Title design should be evocative, it should refer to the story or the characters or the setting, and almost incidentally introduce the titles. You can't do more than that "-he says. Perri has set the tone of more than 400 TV and film projects over a 30 year career. His credits include, Star Wars, Taxi Driver, The Warriors, Raging Bull, The Exorcist and Mallrats.
Mirko Borche (Graphic Design, DE)
Mirko is a modern European design legend in the making, his work was a combination of corporate advertising and progressive cultural design. He was a one-time art director for the mini group in BMW, Meanwhile he also launched the hugely successful youth magazine, NEON in Germany in 00's. He had a tenure as a creative director at Die Zeit and has worked with Operas, Orchestras and theatres.
Bruno Maag/Dalton Maag (Typography, CH)
Bruno Maag worked at Monotype in UK and USA before founding Dalton Maag. Dalton Maag creates customer typefaces that you've definitely seen. They've worked with Rio 2016, Google, Amazon,Intel and Lush. Working on large scale projects for corporations and interesting small organisations carved out a successful and respected niche from their London studio as versatile, astute and responsive designers.
Jean-Paul Goude (Photogrphy/Art Director/Graphic Designer, FR)
Goude has been recognised internationally as one of the most prestigious and accomplished crestives of his generation. Recently, celebrated for his associations with the legendary Esquire Magazine, Warhol's New York, advertising for Kodak, Chanel and Grace Jones.
